Episode 63

Greetings! Fall has returned and with it my mood has been buoyed. This month’s installment was nearly tardy as we’ve been experiencing ailments in the AE HQ so my attention had been directed there. However, all is well in the household so I have been able to provide you with another ~hour’s-worth of musical filth.

Front half is pretty heavy on the metal tentpoles of this project and the second half is steeped in punk and its numerous offshoots. Revolutionary stuff, I tell ya. I think you’ll enjoy it.

Not much else to say but thanks as always for any and all support. I will return sooner than usual as October also features my annual dark ambient/dungeon synth/whatever episode. See you then.

Episode 60

Greetings, faithful listeners. This episode marks the completion of the fifth cycle of the Anxiety Eternal psy-op. I hope this missive finds you well in this hellscape we call the present day.

To my tinnitus-addled ears this episode is as close to a representative example of the AE ethos as I’ve been able to muster for quite some time. This project is largely an of-the-moment exercise that isn’t always as diverse as I’d wish; time will routinely preclude me from checking as many genre boxes as I’d like while maintaining cohesion. Hopefully the sonic trail I lead you down isn’t too uneven.

With that being said, thanks to any and all support these past five years. I will return the first Wednesday of August with the next installment.

Episode 50

Here comes the fiftieth episode of this vanity project. So much time spent on what I deem to be “reputable” sounds; hopefully you’ve found me agreeable.

This basement (Hi, Anthony) that I’ve spent much of this project’s undertaking has cooked my brain so I am curious if the progressions make sense outside of this place in the world.

Side one is largely straight-forward and blackened; side two is relatively quiet, lyrics-wise. I’ll see you soon for more nonsense. I’ll see you all the first Wednesday of October.

Episode 26

Back at it from a short layoff, but that’s just how the calendar works. This month’s episode isn’t the most dynamic or diverse (genre-wise), but it’s pretty snappy, if I do say so myself.

I’m eager for autumn to begin officially in a few short (I hope) weeks as I just cannot stand summer time. Hopefully the cooling weather doesn’t lead to more Covid variants mutating in the lungs of the stupidest members of society. It’s been pleasant attending shows again after such a long layoff. That’s all I’ve got for this month. Be well.

The artists and their respective tracks are as follows, with each start time noted in the parentheses after each track:

03) The Secret – “Love Your Enemy” (11:35)

05) Rusted Shut – “Feed the Beast” (17:00)
06) Useless Children – “Rest My Bones” (20:30)
07) Hatred Surge – “Bestial” (23:20)
08) Marc Barreca – “Church and State” (25:08)
