Episode 56.5: Anxious Karaoke IV

Back again with the newest installment of this series. I was finally able to “hit the stage” and belt out some idiotic and garbled versions of popular music (disco-era Kiss) at a wedding some months back. Perhaps that’s why this episode seems less…bleak, I guess, than most episodes. Oh well.

Episode 56

Welcome back. This month’s installment is heavy on guitars and snarls. I’m starting to think that I need to bring out the magnifying glass for more electronically-inclined sounds as they’ve been sorely lacking the last few months. This shouldn’t be misconstrued as an indictment of March’s contribution to the AE oeuvre; crunch and gristle are welcomed in these parts and hopefully you feel the same.

Do the colder months (this query only applies to us in the Northern Hemisphere, I guess) make you covet certain sounds? I find my listening trends follow the climate to a certain extent. But, contrarianism abounds.

Now that I’ve potentially dissuaded you from clicking play (truly, please listen) I’d like to remind you that only underground music is real.
