Episode 75

I have returned and I hope this offering finds you well. What we have here is a song collection that’s pretty long in the tooth. Due to reasons I won’t bore you with I made a conscious effort to input songs I had long liked but had yet to include here, until now.

This collection of death and optimism will please your sensibilities, I trust, if you’ve found yourself in my corner of the internet.

I won’t keep you (or me) here for long as it’s much too nice outside and the dungeon can wait for my return. That being said, I will return in a few weeks with the newest iteration of the Samhain Special. Ready your armor! And thank you for your support.

Episode 69

The sexiest episode in the entire history of A•E is now at your disposal. Not due to any actual content, but because I’m a simpleton at the end of the day. I am a sucker for low-hanging fruit and here we are.

This episode features a perhaps more-than-healthy dose of the synthesized beeps and mashes to accompany the regular distorted noise that is a staple of this project. That’s great.

I am also writing this from the past as travel plans require I finish this episode earlier than usual. Hopefully the kleptocrats currently empowered will not be so emboldened as to outlaw this seditious blasphemy. Anyway, here’s the heresy.

Thanks as always for the continued support, I will return the first Wednesday of April.

Episode 67

Welcome back. I’ve returned with some more odd tunes to sate your appetite for the fringes of society. We start with a lot of punk before easing into more metallic territory. It subsequently goes off the rails a teensy bit which for those familiar shouldn’t mind.

Episode 66

Greetings, pardon for the delay in my return. I was out of town longer than planned and returned to my lair only for the dreaded noro virus to strike a member of my family. All seems well now so let’s get down to business.

I must admit this episode might feel a little rough around the edges. I still think all the songs are phenomenal, but it might seem a bit odder than usual the order of things. Oh well, right?

Some newer music as well as a track or two that I’ve been trying to get to for a few years now which is a bit of a relief if I’m being honest. Not much else to say other than thanks for the continued report and barring unforeseen circumstances I’ll return the first Wednesday of February. Onward.

Episode 61

Greetings, with this episode Anxiety Eternal has been a festering sore on the face of society for five years. Much has changed in the world-at-large (and in your selector’s corner) in the past half decade and I appreciate all who have taken the ride. That being said, the music is the focus here, not reflection.

With Summer in full swing I felt the need to inject some speed into the mix which I feel has been lacking of late. Worry not, as the dirges and the misery also show themselves so as not to overwhelm the senses with pace for pace’s sake. There’s not much more to add other than thanks as always for any and all support. I will return the first Wednesday of September with the next installment. Anxiety Eternal is Eternal.

Episode 52

I’ve returned after a short respite with new ugliness. No schticks or gimmicks this episode (no disrespect to the specials), just nasty black metal, depressing noise rock, upsetting experimental excursions, and punishing hardcore.

Episode 44

Another episode “in the can.” A few more “heavy hitters” on this episode than normal, but I felt like giving some larger acts their flowers, so to speak. This month is heavier than normal (I guess) on acts from the electronic/experimental realm. Do with that information what you see fit.

I will be returning in a little over two weeks for the third installment of the all-covers “Anxious Karaoke” special. So look forward to that nonsense if you’re so inclined. On that note, enjoy the sounds and thanks for taking the time to listen.

This installment was a fucking pain in the ass to introduce to the ether, but here we are. Probably the most diverse, sonically-speaking, episode in some time, but I think you’ll enjoy its odd cohesion.
