Episode 77

Welcome to the final episode of 2025. It was nearly the final episode of this series but I’ve decided to carry on; hopefully with a new computer to facilitate this monstrosity. Please, Santa Baby.

This month’s installment is admittedly a lil clunky in the transitions of sound/theme. I trust you’ll be able to soldier through if you’ve made it this far. If you’re a neophyte, it’s always ok to ask for assistance. I’ll leave you with this preface and thank you for any and all support. See you in the new year, the first Wednesday as always. Onward.

Getting this month’s episode in at the last moment. Hopefully you haven’t been waiting too long. This installment has a strong rock music foundation I’d say. There aren’t too many

oddities this month, but that’s not a bad thing. I’d say it’s actually a rather upbeat affair save for the end. But that’s for you to suss out, I suppose.

Episode 61

Greetings, with this episode Anxiety Eternal has been a festering sore on the face of society for five years. Much has changed in the world-at-large (and in your selector’s corner) in the past half decade and I appreciate all who have taken the ride. That being said, the music is the focus here, not reflection.

With Summer in full swing I felt the need to inject some speed into the mix which I feel has been lacking of late. Worry not, as the dirges and the misery also show themselves so as not to overwhelm the senses with pace for pace’s sake. There’s not much more to add other than thanks as always for any and all support. I will return the first Wednesday of September with the next installment. Anxiety Eternal is Eternal.

Episode 57

Hello once again. Hopefully the all-covers episode treated you well and you were left filled with mirth and nostalgia. But it is time to return to form.

April’s episode is filled to the brim with blackened noise and…regular noise, I guess. It also starts with a great deal of punk nastiness. Perhaps I’m raging against the dying darkness as the temperature soars and my mood sours. There’s no way anyone could know. BUT, you have nearly 60 minutes of sonic mayhem to use at your discretion. Please do so.

Thanks as always for any and all support. It is much appreciated. I will return the first Wednesday of May with more musical bullshit to tide you over until the next time.

Episode 53

Greetings. Welcome to the final episode of 2023. Hopefully this year has found you (who?) in good shape and good spirits. This month is heavy on guitars and light on electronics. I’ve found myself in a bit of a drought when it comes to new (or merely new-to-me) EBM, dark wave, synth, etc. acts so please feel free to shoot me suggestions.

But who says the “ole same ole” is inherently a bad thing. Lots of nasty death metal, driving post-punk, jolting punk, and immiserating black metal for your hungry ears.

Episode 52

I’ve returned after a short respite with new ugliness. No schticks or gimmicks this episode (no disrespect to the specials), just nasty black metal, depressing noise rock, upsetting experimental excursions, and punishing hardcore.

Episode 49

I’ve returned with a new collection of depraved songs to dazzle and disappoint. This month’s episode is pretty heavy on black metal and its offshoots. At least relative to my recent output. Perhaps it’s my subconscious straining and bucking from the heat.

I’ve now officially been making song selections for strangers (at least this cohort) for four years. Thank you to all who have listened over the years. Hopefully you continue to do so as I begin year five of this project.

Episode 42

This installment was a fucking pain in the ass to introduce to the ether, but here we are. Probably the most diverse, sonically-speaking, episode in some time, but I think you’ll enjoy its odd cohesion.
