Episode 57

Hello once again. Hopefully the all-covers episode treated you well and you were left filled with mirth and nostalgia. But it is time to return to form.

April’s episode is filled to the brim with blackened noise and…regular noise, I guess. It also starts with a great deal of punk nastiness. Perhaps I’m raging against the dying darkness as the temperature soars and my mood sours. There’s no way anyone could know. BUT, you have nearly 60 minutes of sonic mayhem to use at your discretion. Episode 53

Greetings. Welcome to the final episode of 2023. Hopefully this year has found you (who?) in good shape and good spirits. This month is heavy on guitars and light on electronics. I’ve found myself in a bit of a drought when it comes to new (or merely new-to-me) EBM, dark wave, synth, etc. acts so please feel free to shoot me suggestions.

But who says the “ole same ole” is inherently a bad thing. Lots of nasty death metal, driving post-punk, jolting punk, and immiserating black metal for your hungry ears.

Episode 51

Welcome back. The leaves are falling and a return to seasonal normalcy approaches. This month’s episode is pretty guitar-centric, but it kicks off with two electronic oddities. Episode 47

Another stroll down the calendar, another iteration of your least-favorite mixtape project. Does it date me that I insist on that “-tape” affix? Probably.

Lotsa punk and distortion this month. Little to be had, synth-wise; just how it goes sometimes. I found myself pleased that a number of artists I’ve long meant to include in an episode found themselves to be.
